No this event was moved out early. We went to see this exhibit today on April 3, 2008. We were informed by staff the the Lieutenant Governor decided to recall this event early and the portriates were removed earling this morning.

Did not get a chance to pay respects and see the drawing of a fallen solider.

Thank you for your interest in the Portrait of a Soldier exhibit. The event was not moved out early — it was scheduled to be here until April 3rd.

The Lt. Gov. office told me that the exhibit will be in Taylorville, IL
from April 18th-25th, then it is scheduled at Andrew’s High School in Tinley Park on April 27th. That’s as far as they have planned so far.
