Current Art Exhibits in the Library

Come into the library to enjoy our current art exhibits.  Ed Dougal displays beautiful abstract monoprints on the 1st floor gallery walls during the month of June. Local artist Anthony Klama displays beautiful landscapes and portraiture on the 2nd floor gallery walls in June and July.

It costs nearly 2 dollars per call to get a listed telephone number from directory assistance these days. Use some of these free online services links from the Citizen’s Utility Board (CUB) or call our Reference Desk at 847-923-3322, and we will look up listed numbers for you.

Join us for a Movie

The Hoffman Estates branch, located on Hassell Road, offers movies throughout the summer. In June, movies start at 6:30 PM every Thursday night. For a list of movie offerings, contact the Hoffman Estates branch at 847-923-3456.

The “Gotta Write” AuthorFest

Authors from all over the Chicagoland area will lead panel discussions on writing and publishing. Copies of the authors’ works will be available for purchase and signing. Genealogy Group Meeting

Meeting begins at 7:30. Features introductions of new participants and a brief review of handouts and genealogical matters. Group discussions for ethnic topics – Irish, German, Polish, Czech, Italian etc. – start at 8 and end by 9:30. Includes a “Beginner’s Table” and an Internet connection. America’s Boating Course

This two day course will be presented by the Coast Guard Auxiliary and is for all boaters and PWC operators, as well as family and friends who accompany them.
