August 7, 2008John Burnett Orchestra Concert Rescheduled for Aug. 7
August 6, 2008The Monday Aug. 4th concert was cancelled due to inclement weather. The John Burnett Swing Orchestra specializes in all 1940s style big band swing – keeping alive the sounds of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Count Basie and others.

Cell Phones for Soldiers
August 6, 2008During the month of August, the Schaumburg Township District Library will collect used cell phones as part of the Cell Phones for Soldiers recycling program. Collected phones will be sold to ReCellular for recycling. Proceeds will be used to buy prepaid calling cards for U.S. troops. Phones may be dropped off in the Central Library lobby or at the branch libraries.
