On Thursday, Nov. 6 from 7-8 p.m., award-winning author Mitali Perkins will speak in the Youth Services Classroom for ages 10 & up. Her titles include Monsoon Summer, Rickshaw Girl and the First Daughter series. A book sale and autographing will follow the presentation. Free tickets will be distributed in Youth Services at 6:40 p.m.

On Wednesday, November 5, the library will hold a Craft Fair and Flea Market from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Rasmussen Room. Craft items will include, jewelry, art work, hand-made scarves, hats, cookie jars, and bags. A wide variety of flea market selections will include toys, children’s clothes and jackets, household articles, film cameras and much more. Cash and checks only.
Early voting for Suburban Cook County begins here at the library on October 13 and runs through October 30. Hours are M-F — 8:30 A.M. – 5 P.M., Saturday — 9 A.M. – 5 P.M. and Sunday — 9 A.M. to Noon. A government-issued photo I.D. is required.
