Visit Christkindlesmarkt

Christkindlesmarkt is taking place outdoors in Town Square on Saturday, November 29 from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday, November 30 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.  This 11th annual European-influenced festival is sponsored by the Village of Schaumburg in cooperation with the library.  Enjoy crafts from around the world, food, music, carriage sleigh rides and children’s activities.  Visit Santa Claus and St. Nicholas throughout the weekend too!

Library Will Be Closed Thanksgiving Day

Decorate a Gingerbread House!

Join us on Friday, November 28 in the Youth Services Craft Room from 11 a.m.-Noon or 1-2 p.m.  Chef Rose Deneen will demonstrate how to decorate an edible gingerbread house.  Children will then decorate their own house with icing, sprinkles and candies with the help of a parent.  Sign up at the Youth Services Information Desk.  For ages 6-14.  Fee: $10.

Sarah’s Grove Quilters Circle Exhibit

Rare Appearance by Pianist Louis Landon

Louis Landon’s program is considered Peace Music which is his way of describing neo-classical, new age jazz music. Landon has performed and toured with Mikhail Baryshnikov, John Payne, Rupert Holmes and John Hall. This is a special occasion to hear someone of superb talent. Veteran’s Job Fair

All veterans are invited to attend a job fair at the library, Thursday, November 6 from 11 am – 3 pm.  The fair is sponsored by IDES and Illinois WorkNet Center. Companies will be on hand to accept applications and arrange interviews. Starting at 11:15 am, every 45 minutes there will be a short presentation on applying for federal jobs.
