Library Closed for New Years Holiday

The library will close early Monday, December 31, at 5pm and remain closed the entire day Tuesday, January 1, 2008 in celebration of the New Year.  We will be open on Wednesday, January 2, from 9am to 10pm.  Have a Safe and Happy New Year!

Overdue Fine for VHS Videos Reduced

Similar to other standard library materials the overdue fine is now 10 cents per day for Adult Collection VHS Videos and 5 cents per day for Youth Services VHS Videos.  For a complete listing of the current overdue fines for library materials, visit the STDL Limits and Fines webpage.  

Schaumburg High School Student Artwork

You just have a few days left to view our annual display of artwork from the students of Schaumburg High School.  It is on display on the 1st floor of the Central Library through the end of December.  Hoffman Estates High School artwork was featured in September, and Conant High School will be displayed in April.

Library Closed for Holidays

Novel Ideas Newsletter

The Winter 2008 (January through March) edition of Novel Ideas was just released. This online newsletter is published quarterly by the Readers’ Advisory Department.

Cook County Prescription Drug Discount Cards Available

Cook County Prescription Drug Discount cards (for Cook County residents only) are available at the Adult Reference Desk. Cards are available in both English and Spanish. The cards provide a discount on drugs at Caremark/CVS pharmacies. Save an average of 20% off the pharmacy’s regular price on all commonly prescribed prescriptions and an average savings of 50% on 3-month supplies of select generics through mail service. No Interlibrary Loan Service on Sunday

We are upgrading ILLiad, our Interlibrary Loan software. As a result, there is no interlibrary loan service on Sunday 12/16. We apologize for any inconvenience.
